Shady wagon farm wedding - new hill, north carolina
Haily & Michael are officially married! They had SUCH a gorgeous wedding day on the last Friday of October! It truly was a special day, and I was honored to be able to photograph it!
Haily & Michael were originally planning to get married in spring of 2023, but they decided to move the date up, and I am so glad they did, because it was such a fun day! There were so many parts of the day that I really loved, with a few of them being:
- Haily did a first look with her bridesmaids, her dad and brother, and Michael! I love seeing first looks and capturing the raw emotion that comes with it. Lots of tears were shed. Haily looked absolutely stunning!
- Haily & Michael read their personal vows to each other in private, right after their first look. My husband and I did the same thing and it was one of the best parts of our day. I love the idea of reading your vows in private rather than in front of a group of people, because it makes it that much more intimate and special.
- There were two giant ducks hanging around the property all day and they made for some fun entertainment. One is named George and that just made my day 🤣 (I'm not sure why I am putting this in the blog but it feels necessary to include! LOL)
- During the ceremony, instead of flower girls, they had Haily's brother Chase be the Flower Guy! It was hilarious and so great to see!
- The entrances to the reception were hilarious and done so well! The parents even did a grand entrance and it was so fun!
- To kick off the reception, Haily's dad gave a toast and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. I know I was tearing up. It was the sweetest toast and something they will surely remember forever.
- After dinner, they served Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes and they were DELICIOUS. This was my first time trying something from Nothing Bundt Cakes and now I am craving it non-stop. So good!
- I loved seeing everyone dancing and having a good time all night long. Even Haily's grandma was getting down on the dancefloor, which made me smile!!
- Michael & his groomsmen all sang the Rose Song to Haily at one point during the reception, and then they each handed her a rose.
I honestly could go on and on. They really put a lot of thought into planning the perfect day and I was so happy to be there to capture it!

Haily and Michael incorporated such thoughtful and detailed touches into their wedding day. From pens with their wedding hashtag on it, to wedding TY Beanie Babies at their head table, to fun signs and decor - they really did well bringing everything together!
So many wonderful vendors helped pull this gorgeous fall wedding together. Congratulations to Haily & Michael!!
