Meredith and Donovan are married!!
I had the absolute pleasure and honor of photographing Meredith and Donovan's fall wedding at the Evermore in Apex in early October. They truly had such a perfect day.
I photographed Meredith and Donovan's engagement photos at their wedding venue back in the spring, and just knew their wedding was going to be great based off of how laid back and fun they were. They are the type of people that feels like old friends after spending just a few hours together. They are so fun! I loved seeing the love and connection between the two of them on their wedding day. While every wedding day is unique - there were a few favorite touches of mine throughout their day that really stood out!
- Meredith hand made all of her centerpieces and florals. Everything looked STUNNING and came together so perfectly! Meredith included a photo of her brother who passed away a few years ago on her bouquet which was so special.
- Instead of having flower girls, they incorporated "bubble girls" - the three sweetest girls who blew bubbles out of a bubble gun as they walked down the aisle. This was such a hit at the ceremony and then at the reception as well! The bubble gun also made for some epic photos!!
- The officiant was a long time friend of Donovan. She did the ceremony so well.
- Donovan's vows made me cry - they were both so sweet and heartfelt.
- During vows, Meredith surprised everyone with pulling a scroll out of her pocket that she handwrote her vows on. SUCH a cool idea!
- The best man speech was awesome. He mentioned that Meredith is Donovan's "kind of weird" and it really was the sweetest thing ever.
- During the first dance, One Man Band stopped halfway through and transitioned into a faced paced fun song which was a fun mix up from the traditional slow first dance songs.
- The dance floor was HOPPING all night long. The music was so so good. It took everything in my power not to take a break from photos and just get down on the dance floor!
- The cake cutting forks said "I forking love you" on them - love it!
- Their wedding favors were boxes of individual pies. This was perfect for a fall wedding and honestly such a great gift!
I could go on and on about all of the fun and unique touches that they incorporated into their wedding day but I'll stop here. The weather for their day was perfect and we stayed on pace with the timeline perfectly. There were no true hiccups on their day that I was aware of - which is SO rare. When I say this was the perfect day, it really was!!
Fall Wedding at the Evermore
When I first photographed Meredith and Donovan at their engagement session at the Evermore, and I knew the venue was going to be great for a wedding day. I wasn't wrong! The Evermore has everything a venue could need. It's in a great location right in the heart of the Triangle off of Highway 64. The venue itself is stunning. situated on nearly 20 acres in Apex, North Carolina. It's a newly built, elegant venue that offers breathtaking backdrops with a countryside setting. It's nestled within lush green horse pastures, has a fountain rippled pond and gorgeous sunsets - truly creating the perfect space for a fairytale wedding.
While the outside of the property is gorgeous, the inside offers modern decor, a mix between white and wood walls, a spacious bridal suite that is perfect for stunning getting ready photos, and a perfect groomsmen suite for the guys to hangout in.
Once the sun set, there were two firepits with fires burning all night long. There were also corn hole boards set up for guests who wanted a break from the dance floor. There is so much versatility of the Evermore!
I truly love photographing at the Evermore!
